Janina Abiles
Janina Abiles is a Director of Learning and Development at Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO), based out of the headquarters in Orlando. She joined WVO in 2012 as a manager of leadership development for call centers. She led a global project to design and develop a series of 8 online courses for onboarding frontline leads throughout the organization. In her current role, she leads a team responsible for leadership development programs across multiple functional areas including resorts. Prior to joining WVO, Ms. Abiles held various leadership roles in Learning and Development and Talent Management for The Body Shop and Orange County Convention Center.
Ms. Abiles is co-president of WYNPride, WVO’s associate business group for LGBT and allies. She has been an active member of WynPride since the inaugural year and was involved in driving original membership registrations. She has been a driving force in organizing WISH days at Zebra Coalition, an organization supporting homeless LGBT youth in Central Florida. She has been volunteering for Houndhaven, a no-kill dog shelter, for almost 10 years and is also an Adult Literacy Tutor. Outside of volunteer work, Ms. Abiles likes to spend her free time traveling to new places and shopping for vintage and antique furniture. She is passionate about service and hopes to continue to find ways to get others involved in their communities.
